BBC Africa Recording of the BBC Concert Orchestra at Air Lyndhurst Studios

I love this place – Air Lyndhurst is a converted church made into superb studios. It seems that every huge movie, prominent artists and orchestras have recorded here. Originally George Martin’s studios these walls have seen some history in the making! It’s always been an amazing feeling to hear your music being played by others in the great hall. We also recorded the Aurora album with the girls choir Cantamus here. That was quite a day;)  This particular recording, the studio was packed with people and it was the first programme and first recording of Africa, so to say there was a lot of anticipation in the air that day, was an understatement! All went well….
