Rhythm of the Earth is a special commission from H.R.H The Prince of Wales, to highlight the message & ethos of his Terra Carta project at the 2021 COP26 Climate conference in Glasgow.  Terra Carta is the basis of a recovery plan that puts Nature, People and Planet at the heart of global value creation creating a roadmap towards 2030 for businesses to move towards an ambitious and sustainable future: one that will harness the power of Nature combined with the transformative power, innovation and resources of the private sector.  Sarah says, ‘It was amazing to be asked by H.R.H to write this piece and so exciting to become part of such an inspiring and environmentally influential project. I can’t wait to see what the future holds for Terra Carta”.

Oh Tree of Life, embracing us all

Although we are many, thou’t never let us fall.

Cold winds may blow, they chill to the bone

There’s strength in the heart of you, and warmth that calls me home.

Through the whisper in the leaves

Where the sunlit shimmers play

Still lakes beneath your feet

Reflect an endless summer’s day.

Oh Tree of Life, you’ll never break apart

Thou art the force sustaining me, and every beating heart.

Through the whisper in the leaves

Where the sunlit shimmers play

Still lakes beneath your feet

Reflect an endless summer’s day.

Oh Tree of Gold, your branches raise me high

In every leaf a part of you, your love will never die.

Through the whisper in the leaves

Where the sunlit shimmers play

Still lakes beneath your feet

Reflect an endless summer’s day.

When the darkness falls again

And the storms they rage above

But safe beneath the mantle of

Your never-ending love.

Tree of Life is a hymn with the symbol of an oak tree, it’s strength, longevity, nourishing and protective  qualities in our natural world as a metaphor for the ever-present unconditional love and spiritual protection of God and the angelic realms.
